Compound words

We are learning about compound words. Compound words have 2 words stuck together. Both words must make sense.

Multiplying in 2s

Reflection
We are learning about multiplication. We learnt that we can do skip counting to make our counting faster. We know how to skip count in 2s, 5s and 10s.

Making a word plan

I was learning to make a word plan. I know that a word plan has a topic and 3 or 4 ideas. I learnt that I can use a word plan to help me writing.

Digraphs and blends

I was learning about digraphs and blends. I know that digraphs are 2 letters that make 1 sound. I learnt that blends have 2 letters and make 2 sounds.

Root and suffix

I was learning to find the root and suffix in a word.  I have learnt that the root is the first part of the word but the suffix is the part we stick at the end like 'ing'.  It was tricky because there are lots of suffixes.

I have been learning about statistics.  I made bar graphs, pictographs, a pie graph and tally charts.  
We know about the steps for statistics.

We are learning about beginning blends in words. I know that blends have 2 sounds like tr, st, bl. This is easy because I use my robot arms.
